Resort-Style Living in Silicon Valley

With an eye for regional context and aesthetic attractions that transcend demographics, we designed the interiors of two distinct luxury residences for Raintree Partners in Sunnyvale, California to appeal the area’s growing, diverse population. Now, people from all walks of life call the high-end apartment community of Encasa home. For each building, we integrated custom iron work, patterns, and tile to reflect the Spanish Mission architectural aesthetic. But Parcel I translates the style through an intricate, traditional lens, and Parcel II is diametrically refined and contemporary. A sophisticated mix of leasing, co-working, lounge spaces, and private work suites further differentiate the two residences and space for outdoor living & entertaining connects each residence to the lush surrounding landscape. Encasa Apartments are resort-style living for Silicon Valley employees and their families.

Interior Story

Distinct Luxury Identities

Our design of the two multifamily residences of Encasa appeals to the culturally diverse population of Sunnyvale, California with resort-style living and unrivaled amenities across two distinct residences. We created two clear residential identities by weaving deliberate, consistent, and seamless design touch points that tap into the senses. The result is a strong sense of place that communicates uniqueness and quality to varying demographics. Parcel I has an “Eclectic edge” that reflects the building’s Spanish Mission-style architecture through traditional forms. With design elements influenced by Asia’s many cultures, this concept blends rough-hewn, natural materials with intricate patterns and textures to create truly vivid living spaces. The palette pulls from the vibrant colors of spices and jewel-toned textiles while responding to a traditional aesthetic, making a sophisticated, dynamic statement of contemporary style. Our design concept for Parcel II is “lux simplicity.” An industrial-themed design gives it a tech-inspired vibe, with sleek materials and a subtle color palette (with crisp pops of citron and deep sapphire) striking a tranquil, sophisticated tone. The concept mixes luxurious finishes with modern, simple lines to create living spaces that are elegant and approachable; the overall effect is reflective, harmonious, and refined. We collaborated with local artists to create hand-painted tiles, artisan iron work, and custom fountains to make En Casa a truly unique and personalized living experience. Each luxury apartment is an oasis that boasts waterfall-edge kitchen islands, quartz/Caeserstone countertops, stainless steel appliances, custom title baths and showers, and vinyl wood plank flooring. We created a fully integrated design that makes living at Encasa a seamless experience. Shared spaces connect to the outdoors, so residents can swim in the pool, get a massage, play in the game room, or take a break from work and go outside to enjoy the warm California weather. Residents can enjoy a wide range of onsite activities, with pools, hot tubs, and outdoor BBQ areas to bring the community together, multiple fitness centers including a yoga studio space, and even a dog spa. Each building includes rentable co-working rooms so people can work remotely without leaving the property. Residents who enjoy hosting parties and cooking can take advantage of the community kitchen. Its island bar faces the outdoors, so residents can effortlessly entertain their guests inside and out. An indoor herb garden is available to all the residents to be used for cooking; and living green walls bring even more of the outside in. Each design touch point combines to make Encasa Apartments a thoughtfully coordinated, resort-style living experience where lasting memories are made.
