Consensus building, inclusivity, and deconstruction define Coffman Engineers’ new workplace, a pure expression of the company’s cultural values and personality. To get there, we began with a fully democratic, inclusive design process, receiving input from more than 100 employees. Our design centers on curiosity, collaboration, and deconstruction – the sparks that ignite remarkable innovation. Exposed mechanical and lighting systems make the inner workings visible, showcasing Coffman’s detailed ingenuity and giving clients and visitors an environment that feels honest, technical, and inspiring. Environmental graphics extend the concept, like an engine pulled apart to reveal the pieces inside. Crisp, angular interior elements are balanced by softer, circular brand features that add contrast while staying aligned to a disciplined grid. Conference rooms bring a more human note to the experience. Two personified rooms are named after famous engineers who embody the firm’s commitment to innovation, with wall graphics that honor their likeness and inventions. Together, each branded element reinforces Coffman’s expertise and aspirations, expressing a thriving company committed to engineering excellence.
